Developing a collaborative framework for construction projects in emerging economies

Purpose The construction industry is a primary contributor to the development of emerging economies such as Kurdistan Region Iraq. However, sector underperforming, and products are not meeting expectations. A lack collaboration considered significant these issues. Various researchers have identified factors improve collaborative approaches. there still clear frameworks help implement in industry, especially economies. Therefore, this study aims develop framework industry. Design/methodology/approach This article utilises review literature, questionnaire interviews with experts order achieve projects. Findings research presents that distributes over project lifecycle stages accordance Royal Institute British Architects (RIBA) Plan Work 2007. Each factor divided into set enabling conditions which must be satisfied ensure given specific delivered. Additionally, suggests appointing champion at beginning manage process. Originality/value contributes scarce literature about practices general.
